As Muslims, we turn to Allah (SWT) with all our worries, seeking comfort in the stillness of the early morning hours and through our prayers. But what about the rest of the day, when life pulls us in many directions and the challenges of daily life take hold?

2. Stillness (Inner Peace and Presence)

Stillness refers to quieting the mind and body, allowing you to connect deeply with yourself and with Allah (SWT). It’s about:

  • Finding peace amidst the chaos: In a world full of distractions, stillness gives you a moment to reset, find peace, and experience the present moment.

  • Spiritual connection: Through stillness, we can feel more connected to our Creator, reflecting on His attributes, His mercy, and our purpose in this life.

  • Mental clarity: Stillness helps clear mental clutter, allowing you to think more clearly and make decisions with a calm mind.

In our sessions we will work together on how we can reach this inner stillness, already we are aware of Dhikr, we know one of the best time to practice it is Fajr prayer, but there are more ways, let`s discover them together.

Journaling (Self-Reflection)

Journaling is a way of expressing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences through writing. It’s a personal practice that can help you:

  • Process emotions: Writing things down helps release pent-up emotions and brings understanding to what you're feeling.

  • Track progress: Journaling allows you to see where you've been, how far you've come, and what areas of your life need focus.

  • Gain clarity: By putting your thoughts on paper, you give yourself the space to better understand your own mind and spirit.

  • Connect with your intentions: Writing regularly can help you stay aligned with your goals and remind you of your deeper purpose.

Journaling is one of my favorite things to do that helps me to heal and to release thoughts and memories, but also it is a tool which with I can measure my progress. What is often hard to express by the spoken word is very easy to bring down into a journal.
